The MAC-Civic Archaeological Museum of Casteggio and the Oltrepò Pavese was founded in 1974 with a precise aim: to become the point of reference for archaeological culture in the Oltrepò territory
Today the MAC is a point of reference for archaeology and history enthusiasts in the Oltrepadano area
Since its inception back in 1974, the MAC’s mission has been to disseminate archaeological content also thanks to a rich offer of educational activities designed for schools (and beyond)
